WordCamp India 2009 is just 2 days away. Today, I had a great opportunity to meet Om Malik and Matt Mullenweg. I have to say that both the guys are pretty cool. Om shared his memories of India and was completely amazed at the amount of changes Delhi has seen all these years and Matt on the other hand was trying to pull Om’s leg. No wonder! They are good friends. We all know that how Matt loves photography and the moment me and Sameer entered the room, we were greeted with three quick pic shots.

I’ll definitely try to come up with interviews of both Matt and Om. However, I thought that if my own readers don’t get to ask the questions they have in their mind, then what is the point of running the blog. After a blog is all about community. So guys, here’s your chance to ask your question from these two famous personalities!

Feel free to throw in the questions in the comments section and I’ll definitely ask them for you!

You’ll get to see loads and loads of pics of the whole event right here on the blog, so even if you are not able to attend it, you’ll be able to see it through my camera’s lens! And yeah, we’ll be uploading the videos too!

  1. It's a dream come true. I feel excited just with these snaps, that I can't think of some questions to be asked to them !! Let me see.

  2. I have a few questions for Matt.

    1) What is the long term vision of WordPress? What do you expect the platform to be, in say 3 years from now?
    2) Are there any plans of promoting WordPress adoption in India? if yes, what are they?
    3) Is this your first visit to India? If yes, do you see anything strikingly different from what you had know about india so far?
    4) Do you plans to visit other cities in India? I am from chennai, where blogging is quite popular and would you plan trips to chennai and other cities in future?

    A few technical questions:
    1) wordpress 2.7 was a big change from earlier version, in that it brought into the core, several functionalities which were hitherto proided only by plugins.Especially in comment section. do you plan to build into the core, more such functionalites or would you leave wordpress platform light and allow the plugin developers to build such features for users?

  5. Well, I am very happy that they have already reached India–it will be very nice to be there and share some ideas with them in WCI. Thanks Mayank for doing your part in making this possible.

  6. Om seems to be a big fan of Media Temple?

  7. I want to ask a question not related to wordpress.
What were his views about India prior to landing? Does he know about Chandrayaan? Has this visit (so far) changed any perception he had about India?

BTW thanks a lot for making life of so many bloggers around the world so simple. Love wordpress
