About a month back, I’d made certain changes in our Blog Design. Well, the change was not in terms of appearance, it was more of a feature addition. I’d made the change in such a way that those posts that were around 20 days old and the posts that “unique visitors” would get to see the email subscription form at the top of the page and that was with the help of “who sees ads” plugin.

I’m pretty happy to find out that after 1 month of testing, this trick helped me increase the subscriber count by 180% and that’s a pretty decent jump. Although, the numbers aren’t that impressive as I only had near about 10 subscribers and now the count stands at 28 (our traffic isn’t that huge anyway). Still, I’ll say that it’s a pretty decent jump as far as the percentage goes.

I’ll strongly suggest everyone to use this trick as this will surely help in increasing your email subscriber count and here are the reasons why one should prefer email subscribers as compared to just the RSS subscribers -

  1. Why Email subscribers?
  2. What is a subscriber worth?

  4. Yeah, even I hope so. As the traffic will increase and as I'll churn out some good and readable posts, I'm sure the subscriber count will increase.
