We all know that how badly we all miss WPDesigner, this was indeed one of the best blogs when it comes to WordPress and WordPress themes. I wonder if at all I’ll be able to contribute to the community in similar fashion at all. Just in case you are not sure about the story of WPDesigner, I would like to tell you in brief that what exactly happened -

WPDesigner was started by Small Potato and built a community around this blog and gave some wonderful tutorials on how to make WordPress themes and what not. However, after a while Small Potato found it hard to maintain the blog and the community and decided to sell the blog and sold it to Pawel Ciszewski, who promised to maintain the blog in similar fashion, for a sum of $ 65,000 (it was steal deal for Pawel). However, Pawel didn’t make any post after the introduction post and has allowed WPDesigner to die slowly.

Well, this was the sad story of WPDesigner and Michael even requested to save it. I feel sorry to tell you that BloggingPro, another high profile blog seems to be going down the same road. Till the time David Peralty was blogging on it, it was constantly going up and turned into a successful blog. However, once David left and started his own blogs and consultation services, BloggingPro has gone down the hill. There are hardly any new posts on it. These days - Jim is trying to keep it alive, however it just isn’t the same ol’ BloggingPro.

BloggingPro is part of SplashPress Media and I see that many of their web properties are not at the same level as they used to be at one point of time and I wonder that what exactly has happened because of which we all are getting deprived of quality posts which we used to once see in SplashPress network.
