Freelance writing is something which has picked up quite a lot in recent times as more and more people prefer to work from homes and of course without bosses on their heads. There are many bloggers who wonder that how will they be able to earn good amount of money as made by various A-List bloggers like Darren Rowse, John Chow or ShoeMoney etc. however, not everyone has got luck like those guys because they are not only good at writing articles but they also know that how to market it well and of course they know how to run successful websites as they are wonderful web masters!

Of course this post is not to promote them but the hard truth is that not everyone can be like them and some of us stay under the shade only. Many of us can produce great content but because we are not good at marketing, we are left with no money or peanuts. So, it’s always a good option to earn some decent amount of money by writing for others and this post is about that only. Where you can write and get paid for your article!

The companies which are ready to pay you money for generating content :

1. Triond : If you can write (be it anything) and submit decent quality articles then you can go ahead and publish your posts at Triond and they’ll share 50-50 of the ad revenues generated from your blog posts. Sounds fair as they have decent reach and of course they are better marketers.

2. ReviewStream : This site pays you $ 2 / review which gets accepted. Of course, it’s not worth a deal for any person who’s looking for a full time income or is taking writing as a profession. However, it’s one of the ways for earning small buck and yeah! if you can get paid for ranting, what’s the harm (just kiddin’)

I’m sure there are various other companies which are interested in paying or sharing their revenues with writers (bloggers). So, it becomes fairly easy to earn because you don’t have to worry about getting the advertisers, market the content and lot of other stuff.

Find the direct job for bigger amount of money :

1. Problogger Job board : Darren built an amazing community around ProBlogger by providing some wonderful content and then leveraged that to start the market place, where people who are looking for bloggers can easily post their requirements and bloggers who are looking for writing jobs can easily get access to the jobs.

2. Freelance Switch : Freelance Switch is another amazing community of Freelancers and you’ll get lots of tips as far as free lancing is concerned. They also have a marketplace like Darren’s market place and allow you to find writing jobs easily.

3. Helium : Helium is another place where you can find various writing jobs. Although, the idea of Helium was to be the competition of Wikipedia, however they were never able to do that and they converted themselves into a marketplace (mostly) where you can find jobs. People claim to get work for over $ 1000 / month from it.

4. Big blog want writers : There are many popular blogs which hire bloggers regularly and here is a list of those blogs which are looking for writers :

  • MakeUseOf - One of the most popular tech blog and highly appreciated by the digg community too. They need 20 bloggers in all and already have lots of them covered.
  • FreelanceFolder : This is another blog which talks about productivity tips for Free Lancers.
  • Daniel’s network : Daniel Scocco runs a successful blog network and needs writers regularly. So, if you can create some gem of the posts then you can always get in touch with him. DailyBlogTips is one of his biggest blog in the network.

There are many blogs and I would suggest you to go through top blogs of your niche and contact them directly if they are in need of the writers and if you can generate quality content then they may select you as a writer.
