Search engines have always been the best traffic generator or should I say quality traffic generator. It is because people land up on your website because they are searching for that information which you’ve written on your blog and thus the chances are that they are likely to take the services which you are offering as they can relate to the information you’ve provided on your blog.

I’ve written about search engine optimization before and in this post I’ll just write down the checklist of the same. Just to ensure that you cover each and every aspect of the SEO.

CheckList of how to make your blog crawlable by search engine spiders -

  • Use of H1 Tag - Try to use H1 tag once in your blog pages and it’ll be best if you use post headings as H1 tag.
  • Use of H3 Tag - Try to use H3 tag in the text of the blog posts. Try to use this in important headings.
  • Use of Meta Tags - Use All-in-one-seo pack plugin for the same. Try to keep meta keywords relevant to blog post.
  • Use of XML Sitemap - Use Google XML sitemap generator plugin for that.
  • Relevant Keywords - Google Keyword tool is an excellent tool to find out which keywords you must target.
  • Use keywords in posts - Include those keywords as many times (properly) in the first paragraph.
  • Get link backs - Try to get link backs with those keywords as anchor text.
  • Link old articles - Always try to link to your own articles. Use related posts plugin as well.

Well, this is the checklist of some of the SEO science which you should apply on your blog. This will ensure that your blog gets crawlable and on top of it starts to rank good in search engine result pages.
