So here’s another simplest mistake that many bloggers make. They forget to give that personal touch to the blog. Readers always associate a person behind a particular blog and want to know that who exactly the person is. So here are some of the things that you may try to give that personal touch to your blog!
Task # 2 : Give that personal touch to your blog!
1. About page – Don’t forget to have the about page or a small section that tells people that who exactly you are and if you are not interested in sharing information about you then at least mention that what’s the purpose of the blog can come on that about page. Even if that doesn’t interest you, then you can take the approach that we’ve taken for our blog i.e. Writing a small paragraph in the sidebar.
2. Put your photos – If the readers can see your photo on about page, sidebar profile or may be at the footer with little information then they’ll know that who is the person behind those written thoughts. OK! STOP YOU DON’T DO THAT, THEN WHY ME? Well, it’s something optional and not a mandate, apart from that ours is a more of a business blog with 4 people behind the service, so it doesn’t look fair to promote only one guy (that’ll be me i.e. Mayank).

My friend, Nirmal has put a small snippet about himself with his photo in sidebar and given the link to the about page. Sounds like a nice little idea.
3. Change the author name – Many bloggers forget to put their name in the author profile and that’s why the author name always comes up as Admin. Once you mention your name in the author profile and save it, it will give you the option of displaying your name instead of the username and that also is a security option too (think about it and if you figure it out, share it in comments. Another task!).
4. Contact form – Another stupid mistake that many bloggers tend to make is that they don’t give any medium through which their readers or may be one time visitor can contact them. We wanted to ensure that no one forgets to contact us, so we’ve included two contact forms (:P).
What are the other whacky ways through which you can give that personal touch? May be a unique blog design?

I've added my brief bio and a photo in the sidebar. It sure adds a lot of personal touch.
Nirmal have a great personal design. I really like his Author snippet and planning to add that cool widget to my sidebar too! :)
I totally agree with this concept…putting about the author and contact information does help in giving the personal touch.
