666 is considered as the number of satan however, I was pretty happy to see this number in my feedburner stats. If you notice that I’ve gained almost 300 more subscribers (almost double the amount of subscribers) in one months time and all that happened because of certain strategies. What are those strategies and how exactly you can replicate that?
1. Create good content – Ok I may not be the best writer, however I know personally that I try my level best to provide all sorts of good information in my blog posts and probably the increasing number of subscribers show that as well. So, if you are also interested in gathering subscribers then you surely need create good content and you should make guest blog posts on various other blogs.
2. Post frequency matters – If you can maintain one post everyday then after few months you’ll see that there will be an upward trend in all the departments. Make sure that you should post at least once every day and you’ll see the benefits at later stages.
3. Following a niche is important – Ensure that you should focus on one single topic. If you’ll deviate from topic too much then readers will not like that and will end up in unsubscribing from your blog.
4. Ensure that Rss button is visible – Try to ensure that you give the option of subscribing at various places on your blog. Remember that if you don’t give the option then how will a ignorant reader will be able to find out about it? It’s best if RSS button is highlighted in the header itself and then after the post gets over.
5. Subscribe through email – I’ve already spoken about that how my email subscriber count has increased when I decided to show the subscriber form just above the content. If you won’t give the option, then people will not subscribe, ensure that you should definitely give all the possible option of subscribing to your RSS.
6. Full RSS feeds – Offering full RSS feeds will ensure that it will make sense for the reader to subscribe to your blog and that they won’t have to go to your blog to read the same article when they can read it through RSS reader.
7. Offer some incentive on subscribing – Hold contests and encourage your readers to subscribe through email and that will ensure that you’ll have long term subscribers. RSS subscribers tend to leave early as compared to email subscribers.
