Hot news in blogosphere’s blogging section - BlogRush is Shutting Down.

Well, few may be surprised about it, although I’m not surprised at all because I was certain about that no matter what happens, these widgets are of no use and don’t solve the traffic purpose. I know one thing for sure that building quality traffic and audience for any blog is not a piece of cake and no one can help you in getting quality traffic!

Why do I think that BlogRush was a failure ?

The traffic you get is not quality traffic - Here’s the quote from John Reese’s blog itself and please focus on the bold words -

BlogRush didn’t grow without its fair share of problems — from security issues to abusive users trying to ‘game’ the system to much lower click-rates than expected. We also had some problems with trying to fairly control the quality of the network, and in the process made many mistakes in deciding what blogs should stay or go. All of these issues, ultimately, limited the service’s full potential.

As you can see that BlogRush was facing the issues in controlling the quality of network and that was pretty obvious. There is no shortcut for getting quality traffic. A simple question will make things clear to you - Why did you join BlogRush ? The answer will be “to find new readers and increase traffic without working hard enough.” and so will be the answer of all the people who joined this network and thus the gaming of system happened and thus resulted in bad network quality and that is the reason of low quality traffic.

There are many websites, network which boast the fact that they can help you by sending hundreds of readers everyday on your blog however, at the end of the day, they are just a network of those people, who can’t find the real readers for their blogs.

As a matter of fact, I’ll always suggest you to keep yourself away from these kind of networks. They just increase clutter on your blog and increase the page load time as well. Here’s a list of 50 tips which will help you unclutter your own blog and that should keep your readers happy.
