Technorati is one of the most wonderful service which once happened to be the best blog search engine, however lately it lost it’s charm in the hands of Google Blog Search. The idea behind Technorati of letting bloggers decide that where they want their posts to be displayed once people search on Technorati, worked however Spam issues caused lot of trouble.

Now the question comes in that is it useful for bloggers to include Technorati tags in their blog posts at the stage, when Technorati itself is on a see-saw of traffic-

I’ll rather leave this as an open question for all the readers as we would love to hear your comments about this, although personally I would prefer default WordPress tags over Technorati tags as I don’t see much traffic coming from Technorati any way.

So will you put Technorati tags on your blog posts ? If yes, then why and if no, then what are the reasons behind that?

  1. I think Technorati Tags has lost its functionality since Wordpress 2.3 that comes with internal Tagging system. So, it’s obvious that you won’t need technorati tags anymore on your blog these days.

Beside it doesn’t bring traffic, it cluster your page. Just simple would to the task without any additional plugins. :)

  2. I used technorati tags for a long time and found no use of them.

I will stop using them and better go with internal tagging of Wordpress..
