Oh! you are using WordPress.com account. Well, I doubt you’ll be able to install Google Analytics on it, however you can use WPStats to see the visitor information for your blog. Apart from that, the only way of doing the same will be to take the credits to edit the theme files, other than that, I’ll just research a little bit and may come up with the solution. There is no guarantee though.

Okay….. call me stupid.

I can’t understand how to install this or use this plugin on my wordpress account. I’m using a Theme Cutline (maybe that’s why) which is not letting me edit it (one more reason why i can’t paste the google analytics code).

And i don’t know how to run this Plugin.

I’m also using a free wordpress account… maybe that’s the reason why….

Any help on this will be great….

I followed your steps with the manual insertion into the footer.php, but google analytics still says' tracking not installed'?!
