I would like to thank everyone for being patient with me and still being the subscriber of this blog while I was away to learn the secrets of becoming a successful entrepreneur on 18 days train journey. I can’t describe the feeling of not being able to blog for such a long time and that I couldn’t inform properly to anyone about my helpless situation. After coming back, I feel good although I’m still trying to find out that how can I stand still and not shake sideways :P

Coming back to the topic of blog design and wordpress, I was excited to find out about the latest open-source project that Google announced recently. Google has provided a python script that will allow bloggers to convert the exported file of one blog software to another. For example, if you run a blog in movable-type and want to shift to WordPress then you can simply export the blog posts from movable-type and use this script to make it compatible with WordPress and then import easily in WordPress.

I’ve heard some dark stories of people, who have tried to shift from Movable-Type to WordPress and they will surely love this kind of script. I wasn’t able to test the script and I believe that this won’t be the perfect solution yet as it is still too new and there is hardly any simple way of doing things for non-programers. I’ll try to test this out and will try and post the effectiveness of the scripts in couple of days. If you decide to test this script or if you already have tested it, then feel free to share the test result with us in comments area.
