It was a hot afternoon (not really! just trying to give it a dramatic angle) and the jaljeera story starts from this tweet of mine. Sachin & I were having fun on Twitter and was later joined by Praval (he rather hijacked the conversation – Good work buddy!) and Ketan (also know as Keeda - he is responsible for the motivation behind making Jaljeera as trending topic & for the cartoon).
We regularly conduct polls to find out that what exactly our readers think about. In the current poll our question was that if a blog design helps in popularity of the blog or not. I must say that, I was more than surprised to see the results. There were 61 votes in total and majority of those bloggers believe that a blog design will surely help in increasing the blog’s popularity.
Here are some of the reasons I could think of that made people to vote for that option -
Votes have been casted and the winner has been chosen too! The contest was pretty close and VisheshK has won the contest with just 1 vote more than Raul (who made a wonderful design too). I would like to apologize to everyone and especially the contestants for not announcing the winners of our business card design contest. I’ve been going through few very personal issues and because of which I literally forgot about the contest. I feel ashamed of not giving the proper attention to this blog, even though I want to.

Marketing blogs isn’t simple and takes hell lot of hard work and commitment to make sure that the blog can make impact and that it reaches the top heights and gets the fame it deserves. That leads to coming up with various new marketing ideas as innovative marketing ideas always work. With this, we also learn the art of experimentation that in itself helps a lot in future blog ventures.
Daniel Scocco of Daily Blog Tips came up with the idea of writing an ebook that will be authored by various bloggers who wish to contribute in the ebook. I chose to go for the idea as it not only was unique effort but for the amount of marketing and benefits this e-book will give me in future.
