As we discussed in our last post, that today’s task will be about making comments on other blogs. Now don’t think that this task will be simple for anyone of you and even for myself. The task is one week long and that it will surely help you in improving your blog’s visibility. This task will surely help you in increasing your blogs traffic and will help you in finding new readers.
Before I go further! I would like to make an apology to all my readers as the task that I’m sort of assigning is something I need to follow as well. I know that lately, I’ve not replied back to the comments and I definitely feel sad for not being able to follow up on the comments. I definitely want to correct the same mistake to ensure that the conversations around the blog stay alive and generate value for everyone.
So here’s another simplest mistake that many bloggers make. They forget to give that personal touch to the blog. Readers always associate a person behind a particular blog and want to know that who exactly the person is. So here are some of the things that you may try to give that personal touch to your blog!
I noticed that there are many bloggers out there, who make small mistakes every now and then. So thought that it’ll be a great idea to run a series that’ll point out the mistake that can be fixed. Not only this will ensure that, people will get aware of those small problems, they’ll be on their toes to fix it as well.
I was noticing that lot of twitterers were asking questions from their followers and then they copy those quotes from them and they create a comprehensive post out of it. The beauty of these posts is that the blogger itself doesn’t write that much and they get some real valuable content. Apart from that, its wonderful for readers as they get to know the perspective of various other people who might be interesting to connect with.
Its not everyday affair when you open up the newspaper and see one of the biggest heading on blogging (at least, in India). The heading read “What is slow blogging?”. That really took me by surprise and then the explanation to that was as follows -
It’s a movement that emphasises blogging after thoughtful consideration instead of hammering out posts in a surge of emotion. While succesful boggers are known to update their blog regularly and in a quick manner; slow blogging urges bloggers to slow down. It was branded by, Todd Sieling.
