Doh! - see what I mean about my lack of coding? I should have used this, which also shows that I'm learning, right?

Minimalism and simplicity of design make sense to me too - if there's too much going it distracts from the text.

What you say should be obvious, but very often isn't, especially on the usability side. It's difficult if, like me, you lack coding skills. I'm learning something new all the time though, and it helps to have good advice from knowledgeable people like <i>you</i> Mayank.

well, my design taste is also towards minimalist themes however, these days I have to be rational as I have to look at the design sense of various people. Although, I look more at the simplicity of the design and the usability is at the highest priority.

I also give extra priority to the text size and the font. I love themes by pearsonified.com as they are simple and look good as well.

@scatterbrain - Indeed taptaptap.com looks really nice, it's one of the finest examples of amazing design - goes well with the iphone theme.

Well, apart from the obvious Edge theme, which I'm sure can be adapted visually - I personally look first to see if it is visually pleasing with good images, nothing too heavy (clumpy looking).

One that caught my eye recently was this one - http://www.taptaptap.com/ talk about slick!

Hey everybody,

I've been looking for a new WP theme for my blog in the last couple of months but I can't really pick one because I'm too... picky xD

So I was wondering - what do you look for in a WP theme?
