Beginner Help Please

  1. Hi. I just installed your NewBlue theme which I really like the look of by the way. I am very new at blogging, web design, and etc. I have Gallery2 installed right now as my photo gallery, but it appears that it loses it whole formatting when I go to the "photo gallery" site. Any chance you can assist me with getting it inline with the rest of the newblue theme? Thank you!

  4. Hi there

    I can see the sidebar is excluded for the gallery page. Have you made a new template for it and exclude the sidebar on purpose or this came unexpected too?
    If it's a separate template you're using there then you just need to wrap the whole content part into a new div as described below and it'll all come out properly:

    <div class="container">
    GALLERY CONTENT
    </div>

    2nd case:
    If the gallery comes automatically from a plugin then it's the same code needed again but in the right place to wrap the "content" div tag.

    Be free to write us if you're still having doubts on this.

    Regards

  5. Where do I write that div too? In this part of the wordpress template or part of Gallery2? I haven't changed anything about your template. I am not skilled enough to create a new template.

    Do you know which template I need to paste that code into, and approximately where in the template it would go? Thank you!

  6. Since you haven't done anything else than installing the gallery onto that page I believe the problem occurs because of some code that comes from the Gallery install.
    If you can just tell me what you are using for this gallery so I can install it locally to test and find out where the bug lays :)
    It's probably some minor issue but I can't see it from the current aspect.

  10. Any chance I'm going to get an answer on this, or should I just move to a different template? I don't think I can really wait any longer.

  11. I tested this plugin locally and it worked fine. I could also see the sidebar and everything else was in it's place and not looking broken.
    And I know you said you didn't edit any source file so this is very strange to figure out. At the moment I would just like to ask and/or suggest something. If you're just beginning to work on this blog of yours caminator.com and you don't need that many features as gallery2 plugin offers perhaps it would be very good for you to try NextGenGallery plugin instead.

    It still has a good number of possibilities too and its much better side is capability to blend into the theme without causing you troubles like this. The one you have right now is a little too hard too read... the text in description and everything.

    Cheers
