In the earlier versions of WordPress, the only way to change it’s behavior was to change the core files of WordPress. That was never considered as safe and was never simple for those programers who didn’t have much experience with PHP/MySql. However, with newer versions, WordPress started supporting both plugins & themes and with that the need to play around with the core files diminished.

Post’s title read – “what’s the big deal about the thesis theme for WordPress anyway?” And then he gave the example of all the bloggers that are using this ever so famous theme. He has all the reason to brag about the fact that Matt Cutts, Darren, Danny Sullivan, Jermiah Andrick and around 5000 bloggers are using that one single theme. I recently came across this wonderful blog design element that was incorporated by 77Agency and I’ve to say – Hats off! to your creativity, who so ever came up with this idea. Now let me tell you that what the idea is. They feature good links around the blogsphere and call it 77NewsPaper. They’ve created a small background that resembles like a newspaper and in the middle they display those active links. I call it brilliance in creativity!
