I’m sure that by this time most of you must have found out that WordPress 2.7 (Coltrane) has been released and it’s because almost every blog on WordPress niche have blogged about it already. And of course, the WordPress panel alerts you as soon as there is an update available. However, with every release there is one issue that pops up inevitably and that is the incompatibility of certain plugins or themes.
The team Automattic has released another update for WordPress and now the version moves ahead to 2.6.3 just before the release of much awaited WordPress 2.7. Although the benefit of this particular update is just to ensure that your blog doesn’t get hurt with a particular security vulnerability and that’s why it’s good to act fast and update the WordPress as soon as possible.
My friend Chetan has posted the backend pictures of WordPress 2.7 and I have to say that it definitely looks impressive from the posted pictures. The QuickPress feature will allow you to post quickly and has no frills, I guess they’ve learned this from the Habari Project (will Habari beat WordPress ?)- who claims to have the simplest editor as they want to ensure that bloggers focus on writing and not other stuff. We’ll soon review the whole WordPress 2.7, so keep an eye on your newsreader!
The wonderful team at Automattic has fixed a security vulnerability and released an updated version of WordPress and now it stands at the version 2.6.2 Although, it isn’t that important security threat for those who don’t allow user registrations, however if you blog has user registrations then the update is a must. Apart from that, I would still suggest everyone to upgrade the WordPress as it includes other small fixes too.

We all sing praises of WordPress and can be labelled as fanatics and to be honest, this is one piece of software for which I won’t dislike this label at all, otherwise I hate the label of FAN. I was thinking that there will surely be many questions where there can be one single answer for it – i.e. WordPress. So, let’s find out those general questions where we can proudly (as fans) answer it as – “WordPress!!”
Many bloggers crib that WordPress gets updates quite frequently and isn’t a good thing. Although, they should actually take this positively because this ensures that there are no security flaws in WordPress and that it is packed with new features which improves your blogging experience.
After the release of WordPress 2.6 Tyner and it’s impressive list of features, one can say that WordPress is turning into a serious CMS and is giving more and more flexibility to mange the content. There are already, some great articles which tell you that WordPress is a good choice as a CMS.
There are few features in this release, which impressed me and few which really didn’t impress me much and of course we’ll discuss that bug too -
