The week took off and we published an interview with Ian Ozsvald, a professional screencaster. And we have already mentioned about Michael Pick, light-bulb engineer at Automattic. And if you remember that we asked the question from him that what exactly he’s going to do at Automattic and it seems that now we can *watch* the answer on the web!
About a month back, I’d made certain changes in our Blog Design. Well, the change was not in terms of appearance, it was more of a feature addition. I’d made the change in such a way that those posts that were around 20 days old and the posts that “unique visitors” would get to see the email subscription form at the top of the page and that was with the help of “who sees ads” plugin.
It’s been long time since we published any interview and its been pleasure that I got to conduct an e-mail interview with one of the most respected WordPress Guru i.e. Jeff Chandler. For those, who don’t know Jeff, he’s one passionate WordPress user and a Pro-blogger. He is a freelance blogger and maintains various blogs ranging from Performancing and BloggerTalks. We all know that using the <!–more –> (remove the space between e and -) tag, helps us in splitting the blog post, so that one can get post teasers on the home page. This helps in two things – 1) Increases Page views. 2) Keeps the length of the homepage short and thus avoids long scroll.
Network Box, a security company has released a whitepaper or you can call it a small guide which tells you some of the common things one should do, in order to ensure that your blog doesn’t become one of the blog’s which got hacked. Once a blog gets hacked, it can be used to serve all sort of content and ultimately can harm the blog’s reputation.
Donncha needs no introduction when it comes to his contribution in WordPress blogging software. He has been actively contributing in WordPress and is also responsible for creating the most wonderful plugin for WordPress i.e. WP Super Cache. I’ve even listed WP Super Cache in my list of must install plugins for WordPress and there is a fine reason for that and I thought that I should explain it to those who don’t really understand that why this plugin holds so much importance.
