While my love for blogging in public is increasing as I don’t have any choice either (I don’t have internet connection in mumbai as I’m a here for few days only), I’m finding small things that can make difference in a blog and can improve the blog too. Because, I don’t get access to the internet at all the times, I’m forced to use Google Reader’s offline feature (by the way, this is one feature that is proving to be a boon to me) and while I was trying to compose a post, I realized that the actual permalink of the post was not shown in the Google Reader and it showed something like this -

So while working in Offline mode, I couldn’t link to the actual post and could link through this feedproxy link only and that’s something I didn’t want to do. So, it will always be good if the permalink can be shown in the feed’s footer.
Apart from that it also makes sense to have the permalink at the bottom of the post in feeds because in case there is someone who is parsing the RSS feed and posting it on their spam blogs, then you’ll get the notification (in dashboard of your blog as Incoming links) and thus you’ll be in a position to track it and can make use of DMCA notices to get rid of them.
Here is the list of plugins that’ll be able to help you put the permalinks and make other changes in feeds directly.

You have a good point ;)
Some people copy posts blatantly using RSS feeds as their source with the help of automated mechanisms. If the post permalink is present in the post itself, the plagiarised post will have the same link, and one can easily track down such sites because a trackback gets sent.
You really look in detail Mayank. I have not used Google reader much, but nevertheless, never noticed it.
