What is this NoFollow thing all about!
In order to ensure that search engine results stayed clean, search engines came up with the No-Follow tag, which means that if this tag is added to the static links then search engine will not crawl that link. This tag not only helped search engines to keep their indexes clean but is also a wonderful tool for bloggers as it helps them keep the spam comments away from their blogs.
There are various people who leave some meaningless comments, just because they got the link back to their blogs, however after No-Follow tag got default in WordPress, the amount of meaningless comments got reduced (I won’t they are out of the scene, but still they are far less in numbers).
How to add No-Follow to my WordPress blog ?
Well, you don’t need to do anything. It’s a default feature of WordPress now. All the comments section will automatically have No-Follow tag associated with the link to the commenter’s blog/website.
I understand the risk but I want to give the link love the commenter. So, How can I remove it ?
Do-Follow plugin helps you in this case. Once you activate this plugin, the comment section will become do-follow area and thus anyone who’s comment will appear on the post will get a link back from your blog post.
