There are already third party forum plugins for WordPress so it really makes sense that bbPress should be made a plugin for WordPress. I would definitely add a bbPress forum to my site if it was a plugin as I trust a plugin backed by WordPress a lot more then a third party plugin that could be discontinued any time.

I use WP 2.8.2 and i cant find some plugin (cforms, contact forms 7, ajax contact) what is work with this udpate.

In my opinion, the plugin would be a fantastic idea. Especially because lot of people do want a simple forum functionality but don’t want to take pain of installing and integrating bbpress with WP.

However, I think similar forum plugin exists. Not exactly bbpress plugin but forum plugin is there.

Wow i got to this post a week late… really haven’t had that much time to read my feeds but i have to say that giving bbpress as a plugin as well as the current way would be much easier on the users but then again we have to think about the developers the work load would be to big making 2 different versions.

Anyway not many blogs really do have a forum to start with so i don’t see how this would be an issue.
