Just because there are less fiat cars on the road (and thus less fiat related accidents) does not make it any safer. Bad practices will attract malware and viri like fly's to honey. Stay off the porn sites, don't download illegal software and for gods sake don't let your kids or their IT Expert friends touch your business machine. Bad luck is bad luck and no matter what system you are on or how carefull you are there is a chance you will be infected. However ignoring the problem by moving OS (For a false sense of security) or pretending it'll all be good is not the solution. Buck up and pull your finger out. If your job revolves around computers learn how to use them, and take responsibility for your security because it is important. In saying that a move to linux is not such a bad idea however I don't know why you would move to macintosh. If you have to learn to use an alien OS learn to use linux and make a move that will not only save you money and offer a better platform for security. It will also deepen your understanding of computing and offer new area's in wich you can explorer and expand. Computer's are a tool, if you can't use the tool's of your trade pick a new trade. I've never had a problem with viruses. I do have updated virus software and I'm not stupid enough to think I'll never get one, but I try to avoid the actions that get people viruses.
